What should i buy, a classical or acoustic guitar?
I currently play electric guitar and bass, but i am really starting to listen to a lot more acoustic, finger picking, and chord based work. I’m not sure what to get cause i know an acoustic is a little more versatile, but classical is so much better for finger picking.

Then a steel stringed acoustic is the way to go.

Pontoon Beach idol
Just after making it to American Idol's Hollywood Week, Ethan Jones has his eyes on a career in music.
"My ultimate goal is to have at least one song on the top 40 or a Billboard chart," said the 22-year-old Pontoon Beach resident, who is one course away from receiving a music business degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Out of 113,000 who started auditions, Jones was in the top 250 when he was cut in an episode of American Idol that aired Feb. 9.
For now, Jones is concentrating on raising the money to record an album of his songs.
To start that process, Jones plans to hold a solo acoustic guitar concert from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Granite City Moose Lodge.
He estimates the album will cost $5,000 to produce.
"I kind of refer to it as a kick starter," Jones said.
If that's the starter, Jones knows where he wants to be when he's arrived.
Jones plays guitar and sings about 250 times a year for the local band Well Hungarians, which has four nationally charted singles. He wants to do about 50 solo performances a year.
