I look over so much about the sound of the humbucker pickups and the great sustain of Les Paul and decided to go with the Epiphone model. Even though it is made in China it is take to have Gibson's quality assuarance behind it. The sound quality of the Epiphone, I read from reviews is similar to Gibson's. At the shop, the sound/continue is definitely different from my Fender Strat and it was wonderful!!! I decided to take the plunge and bought this guitar locally from a well known authorised trade in Singapore as the price difference from Amazon with shipping to Singapore is very similar. My only regret is that I trusted the shop to pick a guitar from the store and to do the setup for me. They used too small a screw driver to change the bridge height and slipped! I can see slur damage to the adjustment screw. Ouch! Where the bridge assembly mates with the body, it was a good tense fit but was not...

Gibson album release
&Nbsp;LA GRANDE — Portland singer/songwriter Laura Gibson has named a song and her latest album “La Grande.”
She will celebrate the release of her album, out on Jan. 24, with a performance in La Grande at the Art Center at the Old Library on March 1 at 8 p.m.
Admission is $10, available at the door or at the art center. For more information, call the art center at 541-624-2800.
Gibson took a trip to La Grande during the writing of her album.
She found that the town inspired her and recalled a place where “people usually pass through on their way to somewhere else, but which contains a certain gravity, a curious energy,” Gibson says in Paste magazine, a world renowned hub for independent music.
She completed shooting a video for the song “La Grande” at Hot Lake Springs in December. See the video on YouTube.
