Could you use a gibson guitar to play lead guitar? – Answers
Yea, any electric guitar will.
Obviously a more expensive guitar with better features will make it easier to play as well as sound better.
It always relies on the type of music you are going to be playing, for example I think Ibanez are better for metal or thrash, while gibsons are class for clean rock.
All in all, gibson’s are very nice guitars and are a valid choice.

any guitar works for lead. hell man you don’t even need 6 strings. keith richards only uses 5 strings on alot of songs. he keeps off the low e. i really don’t know why. don’t buy a cheap epi guitar though. they fall apart quickly. my advise, determine the ammount of money you want to spend. ask the guitar dealer to show all the guitars that money can buy. play em all and pick one. and stay out of guitar center. those guys work on commission and store bonuses for selling certain guitars even if they really don’t work for the buyer. they are conmen.
