Guns N' Roses to rock the Electric Factory in Philadelphia
Guns N' Roses is headed to Philadelphia.The hard rock band, fronted by singer and founding member Axl Rose, will perform Monday at the Electric Factory, according to a news release.
Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday through ticketmaster.com .
The show is part of Guns N' Roses 2011-12 tour, its first United States jaunt in five years .
Guns N' Roses skyrocketed to fame with its 1987 debut album "Appetite for Destruction" and the subsequent efforts "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II."
The band became fixtures on MTV and rock radio thanks to a string of hit singles, including "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "You Could Be Mine," "Don't Cry" and "November Rain."
Rose is the band's only remaining original member. The group went on hiatus in 1997, following the departures of guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan and the firing of drummer Matt Sorum (who replaced original drummer Steven
