I have subscribed to all of the biggies (guitar one, guitar world, guitar player) and i think they all are trash! I love playing the guitar and i like rock (mostly alternative, indie) but when i get a guitar magazine, i dont want to see a bunch of tattooed, bare-chested, earring wearing, and tongue dragging weirdos. I just want a magazine that has reviews, lessons, and articles and focuses on guitars, not really guitar players. I know a bunch of good acoustic guitar magazines, but are there any good electric ones? thanks in advance.
I used to get those magazines as well. they are trash. they give rave reviews to any product the company throws at them. thier interviews are nothing but generic fluff.
go to http://www.ultimate-guitar.com from now on. it’s not really a whole lot better. but at least it’s free and up to date! and they have a monster tab compendium.

Just a few years ago, Adele was another high school kid with a dream. Of course, she also had a once-in-a-generation voice and a charisma to spare, so it's only natural that she went on to become a superstar.
And now we have proof that the powerhouse voice that blew everyone else off the stage at last month's Grammy Awards has been there all along. Video shot by a high school friend of a 16-year-old Adele singing an early, acoustic version of her song "Daydreamer," which appears on her hit 2008 debut 19 , was provided to Britain's The Sun and showcases her amazing voice … and a bit of the fun-loving attitude that makes Adele such a fun-favorite.
"It was clear she was going to be a star. Some people were that step above everyone else. And Adele was one of them," Allan Rose, a classmate at London's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, told The Sun

Music DVD Review: Shinedown - Somewhere In The Stratosphere [2CD/2DVD] The package captures live sets from its Carnival of Madness (electric) and Anything and Everything (acoustic) tours. The acoustic set is the longest and better of the two, with a running time of about 118 minutes, and the electric set covers about 72 |

Black Label Society The Song Remains Not the Same Review Usually, when bands say they're doing an acoustic version of a song, they put down their electric guitars and pick up their Taylors or Martins or whatever. While Wylde does play acoustic guitar all over this record, it is less of a consistent presence |

Live review: Rammstein at the Forum From the band's newest album, 2009's “Liebe Ist für Alle Da,” came the wistful, lustful ballad “Frühling in Paris,” which still inspired some sharp elbows in the mosh pits, spinning slowly to the urgent plucking of acoustic guitar. |

Warren Haynes lets his soul shine in Aspen solo show (Though the show is billed as “acoustic and electric,” Haynes becomes a mortal strummer on both acoustic and electric guitars during his solo shows.) “The guitar takes a backseat,” Haynes said in a 2008 interview with The . |
