Hi folks:
Been on the road and only have g-net access via iPod touch, so bear with me! I'm looking for a guitar to have in Houston while I wait to move everything in July (actually, my stuff may make it in late may or early June). I tried 2 Breedlove CM250 's and love their sound and playability (didn't try plugged in yet), but want to know if anyone tried any of Breedloves line from Korea? The appear well built , nice fit and finish, but sound so full and deep. 2nd week with no guitar, shakes and cold sweats are setting in! Send along any opinions.

I know hardly about anything about Breedlove, but have heard good things about them, and I believe they are an Oregon company, so that's a plus. The Texas brand that my luthier just raves about is Collings. I know they are pricey, don't know how much, but you might have a better chance of finding them used down there. I think they are made in Austin.

When I’ve occasion to ponder Page Hundemer, I think about the times I’ve interviewed him, first as a member of 5th & B preaching the religion of spontaneous composition, the fearless path from chaos to control; the second in the church of Dave Storrs after he, Storrs and Avante Garage felt their way through a sublimely simpatico extended euphoria.
I felt inadequate that afternoon, an uptight intruder in a sanctified space. Then I emerged reenergized, drunk on the English language, in love with its elasticity.
I experienced the same emotions while listening to the Corvallis resident’s new — like, March 1 new — “Double Stops,” a solo effort in every sniff of the syllable. It’s the sound of a man and his trusted Breedlove Passport B35 acoustic bass, along with the occasional intake of breath (there’s a spoken intro before “Turkey Bound,” but I’ve yet to decipher it fully), the shuddering vibrations within the instrument’s body and the violent scuffs of fingerprints across tight-coiled strings, dragging listeners on an invigoratingly impulsive journey.
