Hi,
I just learned somewhat about the bass run techinque.
Searching the internet, I believe i got the concept/thoery of bass run.
Here is the question i have, i see many use the base run with string 4,5,6, but i wonder if string 1,2,3 are used in base run.
is the base run techinque theory/concept applied to string 1,2,3?

Nathan Holaway: Contrary to popular belief, jazz didn't just spring up in this neat little bubble known as New Orleans, then everyone there who played jazz moved to Chicago, then New York City, etc. New Orleans is where it started, but the influence of jazz was spread throughout the entire South and only later really blossomed in Chicago and New York City. Meanwhile, some musicians who stayed in the Crescent City were developing new things and approaches to the music.
