Godin 5th Avenue Archtop Acoustic Guitar With Canadian - Mandolin ...

I have a MINT condition Godin 5th Avenue Archtop Acoustic Guitar with a Canadian Hardshell Case; much more durable than the TRIC case that comes with it. I also had it fitted with an ebony bridge, instead of the stock GraphTech Tusq bridge; the original is included. This guitar is gorgeous to look at, a joy to play and has the classic archtop sound. The workmanship is as clean as any I have seen. I really hate to give it up, but the taxman is knocking at my door.

Guitars galore at Heritage Auctions' musical sale Feb. 4

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Heritage Auctions’ Guitars and Musical Instruments auction on Saturday, Feb. 4, will be an golden oldie battle of bands with all the top names—Fender, Martin, Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbacker—vying for the top bids. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide Internet live bidding.

Bidding for the nearly 400 lots of guitars, basses and a few additional stringed instruments will begin at noon Pacific at Heritage Auctions’ Beverly Hills location, 9478 Olympic Blvd.

Leading off the sale will be a 1952 Martin D-28 natural acoustic guitar of Brazilian rosewood, which has an $8,000-$12,000 estimate.

Two lots later will be a 1920 Gibson Sunburst harp guitar in original finish. This rare instrument resembles a conventional six-string acoustic guitar having an additional 10 unstopped open strings. It has an estimate of $3,520-$5,280.

The lead guitars in the sale are an all-original and virtually unused 1958 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst electric guitar and a 1960 Gibson ES-335 TDC cherry semihollow electric guitar in excellent condition. Both instruments carry $16,000-$24,000 estimates.
