[WATCH]: Guitar Hacks | lefty acoustic guitars

In this video I will atempt to explain some cool guitar hacks. The topics explained are a no-drilling method for adding a guitar strap to a small classical guitar, which is very secure. Also, “High Strung” or “Nashville” tuning is discussed as well as the string gauges in order to do the mod yourself. Also is touched on how to convert a right handed acoustic to a lefty, and how Nashville tuning can mittigate some of the problems associated with thicker strings jumping the nut. “High Strung” or “Nashville” Tuning tunes the lowest 4 strings up an octave. This unique tuning uses lighter strings, and can be used to back standard tuned guitars in a recording or live performance to create the effect of a 12-sting guitar.

After a big 2011, singer Sunny Sweeney visits Abilene and Rehab

Sunny Sweeney has kept a running count of the times she has appeared at Nashville's legendary Grand Ole Opry.

The tally: 28.

She throws out the number without taking a moment to estimate, proof that the country singer still is relishing every moment of her late-blooming music career.

"I love the job I'm doing: being out on the road, living out of a suitcase," Sweeney said. "A lot of people say to me, 'Don't you hate living in a suitcase?' But I don't mind it."

Sweeney is the headlining entertainer for Saturday's 2012 Rehab charity telethon at the Abilene Civic Center. The event raises money for West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

The singer comes to Abilene on a career upswing, following the release of her sophomore album "Concrete" last year. The record cracked the Billboard Top 10 Country Albums list and produced radio hits such as "From A Table Away."

That particular song — with its narrative of a woman spotting her boyfriend out eating with a new date — was based on a true story in Sweeney's life. As tough as the event was, Sweeney knew there was a song she could mine from it.
